LMC Gives Wolves Deadline For Unpaid Salaries

League Management Company

The League Management Company (LMC) has issued a notice of summary jurisdiction to Warri Wolves for failure to pay their players and officials of the club salaries.
The Seasiders will be docked 6 points among points garnered in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) if the debts are not paid within 60 days and a further 3 points for every other 30 days for which the salaries are not paid, according to the letter sent to the managements of the club by the LMC.

The letter to Warri Wolves read in part, “you are therefore required, within sixty (60) days of the date of this notice, to remedy the breach, otherwise the Board intends to exercise its summary jurisdiction and to impose on you an initial deduction of six (6) points and a further deduction of three (3) points for every further thirty (30) days for which the entitlements remain unpaid.”
The LMC also warned the players of Warri Wolves for going on an indefinite strike without following the rules which requires players of clubs to first notify the League Management 15 days before any action is taken.
Warri Wolves are currently at 3rd position, 4 points behind league leaders Enyimba FC on the league table with 44 points from 25 matches played.
