Former Manchester United and England defender Rio Ferdinand has slammed Mikel Obi for his role in Paris Saint-Germain’s first goal in Tuesday’s 2-1 loss in the first leg , round of 16 tie of the UEFA Champions League.

Ibrahimovic opened the scoring after his free-kick took a slight deflection off Mikel to give PSG a 1-0 lead. Mikel had also given away the foul that led to the freekick.

Mikel redeemed himself when he equalised for Chelsea from a corner-kick before substitute Edison Cavani secured the win for the Ligue 1 champions.
Speaking at half-time on BT Sport, Rio could not hide his indignation at Mikel’s role in the goal.
“In the changing rooms I’m sure they’re saying ‘what are you doing?” Ferdinand said.
“If you’re not going to have the balls to stand there then don’t be in the wall.”
