Ten of Africa’s most popular and influential musicians have been nominated for the ‘Evolutuion’ award to be given out at the MTV Africa Music Awards 2015.
Those nominated inlcude 2Face Idibia (Nigeria), Asa (Nigeria),
D’Banj (Nigeria), Psquare (Nigeria), Anselmo Ralph (Angola), Black Coffee
(South Africa), Samini (Ghana), and Chameleone (Uganda)
According to Tim Horwood, the MAMA ‘Evolution’ award honours
established artistes who have made indellible mark on African and global music
culture, taken African music to new territories around the world, pushed the
boundaries of creativity and shaped the landscape of contemporary Africa.
