Trump Appointed Nigerian to Economic Advisory Team


The United States President-elect, Donald Trump, has appointed a Nigerian businessman, Bayo Ogunlesi, as a member of his Economic Advisory team.
Business Insider reports that the team consists of multi-billionaires, including Ogunlesi, who is the only black man in the Advisory Committee. 

Ogunlesi is an Ondo State-born and an Oxford and Harvard graduate who is the CEO and Founder of multi-billion dollar company, Global Infrastructure Partners.

Ogulesi’s father was the first Professor of Medicine in Nigeria. Other members of the forum include: Stephen Schwarzman (forum chairman), chairman, CEO, and co-founder of Blackstone.

Paul Atkins, CEO of Patomak Global Partners, former commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission Mary Barra, chairwoman and CEO, General Motors Toby Cosgrove, CEO, Cleveland Clinic Jamie Dimon, chairman and CEO, JPMorgan Chase & Co. Doug McMillon, president and CEO, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. According to the report, the group will advise Trump on how to institute policies to encourage job growth and improve productivity.
